Splish Splash I’m taking a dip!

Well… We thought it the day would never get here… after having the pool complete, full of water, pumps running, minerals in…  we had to wait days for the chorine/chemical levels to get to a stable point.  We were finally able to get in the pool last night!!   It was like bath water, even without having the heater hooked up yet (long story.. uggh).  It was a very pleasant surprise though.. guess there is a good aspect of having several 100 degree days in a row!

Megan got in  but was really fussy.. We think she has another tooth coming in so she might have had a little fever and the water didnt help it.. Chase was like a fish.. kept jumping off of the diving board and swimming all over the place.  We didn’t get out until almost 9pm… ahh.. so nice.

The hot tub gets hooked up this weekend so then we will get to play in that as well.  There is still plenty of yardwork/landscaping to do before Megan’s party.  The biggest task is getting the swingset put back in place and setup, as well as moving all of the mulch back in place.  Not looking forward to that.

More pictures to come.. as soon as I get out of the pool and upload them to the site.. hehe

I see water…..

So… the day has finally come…  there is a great big tub in the backyard but we can’t get in it yet.  The pool is 99% complete!!  The pool maintenance company is coming out today to start everything up, put the acid in the pool to cure the plaster and get things rolling.  We have 10 days of scrubbin’ the sides of the pool but after that, we are realy to jump in!

Here is a sample of what the finished product looks like.  We have some serious landscaping to do, finishing the wall around the play area and the back of the yard, as well as putting back up the fence.  But it will all be worth it in the end!

Finished Product

We still have to get the diving board and install it. I can’t wait.

I will be putting up the rest of the pool pictures in the photo gallery.  Check them out if you get the chance.. not as good as being here.. but good to see the whole process.

Been too long… too much to talk about…

WOW!!  Has it really been since Christmas since I last posted something?!  Shame on me…

Well… Megan is now 10 months old and ready to start walking.  She hasn’t gotten into the crawling thing that much, but she is pulling herself up on furniture, standing up herself, and keeping her balance.  She walks herself down the couch, but not without grabbing onto it the whole time.

We just went to Kings Dominion on Sunday.  This was Megan’s first trip there, and Chase’s first “real” trip to an amusement park (meaning his is big enough to ride the good rides).  He was a bit scared, but soon got over it.  He rode the Triple Swirl to start with and had a blast, laughing the whole time.  I then got him to ride the Italian Job coaster with me.  He was scared of the flames that shot up near the end, but managed to get over it.  He liked the ride so much that we rode it again.  I have posted new pictures in the photo gallery.  There is one more of us on the coaster, but I have to scan it first.  All in all, we had a really good day.  Megan enjoyed getting into the wave pool and was pretty well behaved considering she was in the stroller most of the day.   Good times.

So… I really do think that we have lost our mind, finally.  We decided to put in an inground pool (instead of moving to a house with one already).  Yea… can I just say now that this is probably one of the worst decisions we have made  (of course until it is actually finished).  The cost of it has gone through the roof, we have run into all kinds of issues thanks to the great job the builder did at burying trash in the yard to make elevation.  There are pictures up in the gallery as well for it.  This place looks like WWIII.  There will be another post with the details soon to come.

All in all, everyone is healthy and doing well.  Work is really busy for both Tracey and I.  Chase has started some day camps for the summer and is having a blast.  Megan, well, Megan is just enjoying being to roam around the family room and get fed all day.  Ahh… what a life.

More to come……

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

WOW… It has been quite a while since I put something up here…  Alot has happened since Thanksgiving.  Megan is now a little more than 4 months old and weighs 17 pounds.  Tracey calls her Heffalump since she is so cute and chubby.  She has 2 new teeth that have popped through and it appears that there are a couple more on the way.  It has been a pretty rough month with that.

Let’s see…  I finally finished up school.. I will graduate with a BS (FINALLY!!) in Information Systems Management and am really looking forward to having our weekends back again.  Tracey was pushing to become a Director of her own Home Interior unit and as of December 23rd she unofficially made it!!  It is quite an accomplishment and we are all very proud of her.  Her business will start picking up now and she will be even more involved with her team members so it is a good things that I am starting to have a little more free time to be with the kids.

Let’s see…  Oh yea…

RAVENS KICK SOME SERIOUS BUTT!!!

SIT DOWN!!

Need I say more??  Oh yea…

Ewwww

It was a pretty rough game… but we pulled through it!!  12-3 BABY!!!  KINGS OF THE AFC NORTH!!!!  Can you tell that we are excited about it??

I put up some pictures that we took Christmas morning.  Chase was soooo excited to get presents.  He said that this Santa was the best Santa EVER!!  He got everything he wanted as well as a bunch of Ravens gear.  We gotta keep the boy dressin’ well don’t we??!!  We hope that everyone out there had a wonderful Christmas as well.  We wish you all a very Happy New Year if we don’t get to talk to you!!

Chase’s Second Ravens Game and more…

Tonight we had a chance to take Chase to his second Ravens Football game.  The game started off pretty bad..  It did not seem that they had their act together.  I was worried.  Chase kept cheering them on.  He kept saying that they just needed to get a touchdown.  A guy next to us did nothing put trash talk Jamal.  I know he has a pretty bad season but come on…  He left just before half-time.  It’s a shame he didn’t stick around to have it thrown right back at him.

Raven's Greatest Fan

The second half came around and the Ravens were a completely different team.  Jamal Lewis (daddy’s guy) and B.J. Sams along with Clayton kept the team grounded and managed to bring home a win (24-10).  We had a blast!!  We ended up meeting up with grandpa and Cathy who were watching our little Ravens cheerleader for dinner.  I have uploaded some pictures from the game to the Familyclips Picture Gallery (link on the right).  I also added a couple of pictures of Megan to her gallery.

Megan has started teething already and looks to have one of her lower front teeth coming in.  She has just started sleeping 6-8 hours at a clip through the night.  WOOHOO!!  But she is now getting really fussy with her gums bothering her.  We can’t win.  But she has really started smiling alot, especially when daddy acts like a goofball for her.  He is so whipped…  She is soo cute when she smiles.  I hope to one day be able to actually catch it on film.   Anyway, that’s it for now.  I have the end of the semester coming very soon and if all goes well, I will be graduating… FINALLY!!   I don’t know who is happier, me or Tracey!!

An incredible 4 weeks…

Where do I start.  It has been a really busy 4 weeks since my last post.  So much has happened I hope I can remember it all.  I must start doing this more often.

Megan is 8 weeks old now.  She is now almost 13lbs and is 23 inches long.  She is already in 9m clothing!! She has a little difficult on us this past month.  She has become colicky between 6pm and 10pm.  Sometimes it goes longer.  Nothing will make her happy and we just have to get through it.  Tracey is really gearing up her Home Interior business which leaves me at home with Megan during these times.  We just hope she grows out of it soon.

I got tickets to the Ravens vs. Chargers game and elected to let Tracey take Chase to it.  He had a BLAST!!  So did the people at the game that were around them.  He has just started getting into football, playing Madden on the XBOX, watching the NFL on TV, even college games.  He wants to be a football player for Halloween.  Megan is going to be a Raven’s Cheerleader.  We spent last weekend at my parents house for Elizabeth’s birthday and we got all decked out in our jerseys as the Ravens were playing the Panthers.  Unfortunately, the game didn’t turn out how we hoped, but we had a blast playing in the driveway.  As soon as I can get my card reader working, I will post the pictures up in the gallery (link to the right).

Decked out in our Sunday gear

We also had Megan’s baptism and then had everyone back to the house.  Unbelievably, she slept through the entire ceremony!!  I couldn’t believe how lucky we got.  The ceremony was really nice and we all got to relax a bit back at the house.  Thank you to everyone that was able to join us!!

Megan is four weeks old..

I can hardly believe that my little poo machine is four weeks old already!!  We went to the doctor yesterday for her 4 week checkup and she inow weighs 10lbs. and is 22.25 inches long.  She has gianed 2 lbs in 2 weeks.  Wow.  Besides a little bit of baby acne and gas, she is doing really well.  It would be nice if she slept more at night, but I guess we can’t have everything.  :)

Last weekend we went to O.C. for 2 days and those pictures are posted in the gallery.  We all had a great time and were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.  Tracey wants to go back this weekend.  She has lost her mind.  :)

Starting off…

Well… what a couple of weeks it has been. Our new addition (Megan) has been doing her best to keep us from catching any z’s at night, but manages to sleep most of the day away. But she is still adorable even when we are cranky.

I have posted all of the pictures that we currently have of her. I have begun to repost all of the pictures that used to be up on the site. I took the old site down since we hadn’t updated it in several years. Hopefully this new format along with the gallery will make it easier to keep everyone up to date as to what is going on with us.

Enjoy!

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. This is my first post so that I can get things setup.
